Most people who have been thinking about getting dreadlocks have done so for quite some time. Afraid of what society and the people around them might think, the dream has been pushed away.
Isn't it time you take your hair into your own hands? Let Me help you!
How does it work?
I use the Seienstyle technique; which means no chemicals, no hair damaging rips, pulls or twists, but only a comb, a nylon string (optional), crochet hook, and a whole lot of love. This technique creates even, smooth, faster maturing dreadlocks on all types of hair.
How long hair do I need?
Your hair have to be at least 10 cm / 4 inches long. You’ll lose between 1/4 - 1/3 of length when dreading using the Seienstyle technique. I recommend choosing dreadlocks with extensions if your hair is short and/or you worry about them becoming too short, see Dreadlocks with Extensions for more info.
How long does it take to start your dreadlocks?
Between 5 - 16 hours, depending on how thick and long hair you have and what style of dreadlocks you want.
How do you take care of your new dreadlocks?
You should wash your dreads 1-2 times a week, after you’ve had your new dreadlocks for at least 10 days. It's important to use an appropriate dreadlock shampoo. Dollylocks dreadlock shampoo is recommended. If you want smooth even dreads, palm roll your dreadlocks at least once per week, after wash, to help the maturing process. I will provide you with instructions and support so that you can care for your dreadlocks in the best way possible.
How often do I need maintenance?
This is a matter of your personal preference and budget. Anywhere between 2 - 6 times a year. I recommend a bit more frequent in the beginning to make sure they stay on the right path.
How much does it cost?
See the Price List for more information.
