Dreadlock Your own hair
Most people who have been thinking about getting dreadlocks have done so for quite some time. Afraid of what society and the people around them might think, the dream has been pushed away. Isn't it time you take your hair into your own hands? Let Me help you!
How does it work?
I use exclusively the Seienstyle technique; which means no chemicals, no hair damaging rips or twists, but only a comb, a nylon string, and a crochet hook, and a whole lot of magic. This technique works on all types of hair, it doesn’t matter if you have Caucasian hair, Asian, Latin or if you have Afro hair, this method works on everybody!
How long hair do I need?
Your hair have to be minimum 10 cm / 4 inches long. On average, you’ll get between 1/4 - 1/3 shorter hair when I do dreads with Seienstyle technique. recommend that you choose dreadlocks with extensions if your hair is short and/or you worry about them becoming too short, see Dreadlocks with Extensions for more info.
How long does it take?
Count between 5 - 16 hours, depending on how thick and long hair you have.
How do you take care of your new dreadlocks?
You should wash your dreads 1-2 times a week, after you’ve had your new dreadlocks for at least 10 days, with a dreadlocks shampoo. Dollylocks shampoo bar is recommended. If you want straight and smooth dreads, palm roll your dreadlocks at least once per week, after washing, to help with the maturing process.
I have just recently had my entire head done, full dreadlocks with Zarah here at Dread Vibez and the experience that I have was one that no amount of money could ever make payment for. The atmosphere was amazing and relaxing. The dreadwork is so beautiful and her technique is just wonderful; very tight, nice locks. This is three days later and I still have an amazing shape with my locks, and my sectioning is just fire. I recommend anyone that is in or near the Denver area to reach out and make your appointment with Zarah!
